We can, generally, define two types of reductions:
concentric reduction, where the pipe axis remains unchanged;
eccentric reduction, where the ace of the tube varies.
Based in Lallio, in the province of Bergamo, Sorti Flaminio creates both eccentric and concentric reductions throughout Italy.
Concentric reductions
Concentric reductions are characterised by an extreme simplicity of application, and guarantee a system that uses a safe and constant flow of liquid or gas that passes through the plant itself. These fittings can be used in plants in various sectors, such as:
chemical-pharmaceutical industries;
wine production industries;
dairy industries;
sweet production plants;
food industries.
The sale of concentric reductions takes the form of a seamless tube or a tube welded by hot bending with an induction furnace; subsequently, the concentric reductions are calibrated under press.

Ovaloid reductions
Ovaloid reductions are similar to concentric reductions, but the two bases are geometrically dissimilar.
Eccentric reductions
Eccentric reductions are part of those junctions used in the construction or adaptation of civil and industrial plants for the conduction of gases and liquids.
The use of eccentric reductions is necessary whenever there is the need to connect two pipes of different diameters together and to create an adequate slope of the installation, allowing a continuous and constant flow of the substance transported inside the same ducts.
