Sheet calendering is a process carried out in the industrial field with regard to the production of metal products whose purpose is to produce sheets for various uses in various industrial sectors. With its high-level machinery and specialised technicians, Sorti Flaminio is the carpentry capable of creating metal bending and curving for companies throughout Italy.

What is calendering used for?

Sheet calendering takes place thanks to the use of machines known as calenders, composed of a series of rollers (generally three or four) whose axes are arranged parallel to each other. The sheet to be worked is inserted between the rollers following a circular path. The radius of the metal bends is related to the distance between the rollers of the calender. At the end of the process, it is possible to obtain conical or cylindrical metal products, depending on the type of product needed, such as, for example, tubes, which Sorti Flaminio produces and distributes throughout Italy.

Located in the province of Bergamo, but active throughout Italy and abroad, Sorti Flaminio is the carpentry able to carry out accurate sheet metal bending operations thanks to the use of latest generation machines for metal bending.

The company is, in fact, equipped with:

6 profiled calenders;
2 bent profiles with equipment for bending pipes from ø 3/4 "up to ø 14";
1 profile bending machine adapted for forming semi-tubes made from a strip in Aisi 304/316/321;
calenders for sheets up to 40x4000 mm wide;
calenders for sheets up to 80x3000 mm wide;
calenders of various sizes.
